County Route 60 is a 7.9 mile east–west county route named Tonawanda Creek Road North in the Town of Pendleton that parallels the creek of that name, Tonawanda Creek (also part of the Erie Canal). County Route 60 starts at the Pendleton-Wheatfield Town Line at an intersection with CR 67 (Lockport Ave.) from the west and CR 20 (Pendleton-Wheatfield Townline Rd.) from the north. CR 60 heads east, passing north of West Canal Marina Park [1] and south of Acacia Park Cemetery [2] as Tonawanda Creek Road North bends to the north. As Route 60 curves back on its eastward heading, CR 96 (Bear Ridge Rd.) is intersected. Since CR 96 crosses over CR 60 because of the Tonawanda Creek bridge, access to CR 96 can be obtained by using either one of two connecting roads; one on the west and one on the east side of the bridge.
Not long after, New York State Route 270 (Campbell Blvd.) is intersected in the hamlet of Wendelville at 3.25 miles. The Wendelville Fire Company (Sta. #1)[3] rests on the northwest side of the intersection. Route 60 continues heading east, still running right along the creek and canal. At 5.82 miles, CR 60 turns east, as Irish Road continues north, to cross the Erie Canal (at this point now separated from Tonawanda Creek) to head into the hamlet of Pendleton. There, CR 130 (E. Canal Rd.) is intersected at just over six miles. Further east, Route 60 veers northeast away from Tonawanda Creek, and now runs on the north side and parallel to Mud Creek, a tributary of Tonawanda Creek. At 7.89 miles, CR 60 reaches busy north–south New York State Route 78 (Transit Rd.) where CR 60 ends.
Tonawanda Creek Road North resumes south of here 0.2 miles as CR 117.
